How to make white rice?

Everyone can cook the rice! But we will tell you how it works best. You don’t need anything more than rice, a saucepan and water. But as with many simple things, cooking rice is a whole philosophy. In this article, we read about How to make white rice?

How to make white rice?

First, wash the small, white grains thoroughly, then put them in cold water and only cook them on minimal heat, i.e. only in its own steam. Others put it on unwashed and in cold water, let the water boil up, pour it off and then put it back on in already boiling water. The next one makes no fuss, throws a pre-portioned cooking bag out of the packaging into the boiling water and waits 10 minutes, pours it off, and that’s it.

Depending on the dish, there are different grains of rice for the preparation. For a classic risotto, you need thick, round rice grains. Their core is soft and absorbs more liquid when cooked than thin, elongated grains. The traditional long-grain rice is, for example, basmati rice and jasmine rice. As a rule of thumb: for one amount of rice, there are two amounts of water. That’s why many recipes say 1 cup of rice and 2 cups of water.

Rice is expected to be 60 g to 100 g per person as a side dish and 100 g to 130 g per person as the main ingredient for a word.

Preparation Cooking rice using the classic method:

1. Put the rice in a fine sieve and wash it thoroughly under cold running water until the water runs clear. Drain.

2. Put rice and cold water in a ratio of 1: 2 in a sufficiently large saucepan and bring to a boil.

3. Depending on the type of rice, let the pot stand on the lowest flame for 10-20 minutes until the rice is entirely swollen and has the desired consistency.

Things to know about cooking rice:

There is white rice and brown rice, both of which are the exact grain. Brown rice is also known as whole grain rice, and white rice is the polished form of whole grain rice. It lacks nutrient-rich silver skin and the seed coat underneath. White rice, therefore, has a longer shelf life, while whole grain rice is much healthier.
